19 de noviembre de 2024From Puerto Jiménez Day Tour Sirena Station
Start your adventure by boarding a boat at the public dock in Puerto Jiménez at 5:30 am, accompanied by our tour guide. During the trip, you’ll be able to enjoy the sunrise and, hopefully, spot some dolphins. After about an hour and a half on the water, we’ll arrive at Sirena Beach. Keep in mind that the beach doesn’t have a dock, so you’ll need to get your feet wet when getting off the boat.
Once on land, you’ll need to check in with the park rangers at the coast. After completing this process, we’ll start our exploration. Our guide, equipped with a telescope, will take you along trails under the shade of the trees in an exciting search for wildlife hiding among the branches and roots. Our first stop will be Sirena Station for a short break.
The adventure continues with the exploration of the various trails that surround the Sirena station. On this journey, we will look for a variety of mammals such as anteaters, coatis, monkeys, sloths, agoutis, wild cats, peccaries, white-lipped peccaries, mountain goats, and of course, tapirs. Additionally, we will explore in search of amphibians and reptiles, including snakes and iguanas, as well as a great diversity of birds that inhabit this national park.
We will return to the station for lunch at 11:00 am. After lunch, we will embark on the final trail of the day, heading back to the coast. We will take the boat back at 1:00 pm, arriving in Puerto Jiménez around 2:30 pm.
